Currency Pair in Forex is a quotation of two different currencies. The first currency in the pair is the base currency or transaction currency. The second currency in the pair is marked quote currency, payment currency or counter currency.

Currency Pair in Forex is a quotation of two different currencies. The first currency in the pair is the base currency or transaction currency. The second currency in the pair is marked quote currency, payment currency or counter currency. This quote shows how many units of the counter currency needed to buy a unit of the base currency.

For example, the listing EUR / USD 1.2500 means that one euro is 1.25 against the U.S. dollar. If the offer moves from EUR / USD 1.2500 EUR / USD 1.2510, the euro is getting stronger and the weaker dollar. On the other hand, if the EUR / USD moving quote from 1.2500 to 1.2490 to the euro is getting weaker, while the dollar is getting stronger.

All forex trading involves the simultaneous purchase of one currency and the sale of another, but the currency pair itself can be viewed as a unit, a tool that is bought or sold. If you buy a pair currency, you buy the base currency and sell the quote currency. The offer (buy) represents how much of the variable currency is necessary for you to get a unit of the base currency. Conversely, if you sell the currency pair, you sell the base currency and variable currency. The letters page (sale price) for the currency pair represents how much you receive in the variable currency for the sale of a unit of the base currency.

Forex Market is a bit different from Stock Exchange market. In foreign Exchange Market, traders trade for currency pair, such as eur/usd, gbp/usd, usd/jpy, etc.

Unlike the stock market, the Forex Market (currency market) is a relatively new player with the investment world. Today’s current foreign exchange market model began in the early 1970′s, and today it is the largest financial market around, even surpass the stock market. With the trading partners to exceed $ 2 trillion U.S. dollars per day, the Forex market attracts more and more investors all the time. Before an investor begins trading on the forex market, he should understand the basics of their work exchange rates.

In fact, the rate is the exchange rate between two currencies. Most currencies are traded, or paired up against the dollar. The five most frequently traded currencies on the market, the dollar (USD), Euro (EUR), the Yen (JPY), the British pound (GBP) and the Swiss franc (CHF). Some other currencies are traded, the Australian dollar, the Canadian dollar and the Hong Kong dollar.

Average daily global turnover in traditional foreign exchange market transactions total $ 2.7 trillion in April 2006 after IFSL estimates based on the biannual London, New York, Tokyo and Singapore Foreign Exchange Committee data. Total revenue, including the non-traditional foreign exchange and derivatives products traded on exchanges, an average of around $ 2.9 trillion per day. This was more than ten times as large as the combined daily turnover in the whole world of stock markets. Foreign exchange trading increased by 38% between April 2005 and April 2006 and has more than doubled since 2001. This is largely due to the growing importance of foreign exchange as an asset class and an increase in fund management assets, particularly of hedge funds and pension funds. The wide choice of execution venues such as Internet trading platforms has also made it easier for retailers to trade on the foreign exchange market.

Technical Indicators is one of trading technique used in Technical Analysis, besides Fundamental Analysis. It’s using many technical pattern and models such as Moving Averages, Parabolic SAR, Relative Strength Index, etc. Technical traders use charts, trend lines, support and resistance, as well as numerous designs and mathematical analyses to identify trading opportunities.

The technical analysis is widespread among traders and financial experts, but as in the academic field pseudoscience or “Voodoo finance,” it receives little or no direct support of academic sources and as my “astrology”. Scientists like Eugene Fama say that the evidence for the technical analysis is sparse and not consistent with the weak form of generally accepted efficient market hypothesis.

In the foreign exchange markets, however, its use can be more widely known as “fundamental” analysis. While some isolated studies have shown that technical trading rules could lead to a consequent return to the period before 1987, most scientific work focused on the nature of the anomalous position of the foreign exchange market. It is speculated that this anomaly is due to central bank intervention.

Technical analysts also extensively use of indicators, which are usually mathematical transformations of the price or volume. These indicators are used to determine whether an asset is trending, and if there is a price. Technicians even after relations between price, volume, and in the case of futures, open interest. Examples are the relative strength index, and MACD. Other ways of study, the correlation between changes in the options [implied volatility] and / call ratios with price stability.
