Consumer Price Index (CPI) is an index number measured by taking the average price of products and services purchased by users. The CPI can be used to index, wages, salaries, pensions, or regulated or contracted prices.

The CPI is a primary inflation indicator because users spending almost two-thirds of the financial activities. Sometimes, the CPI followed but did not consider the price of food and energy, because these bodies are much more changeable than the rest of the CPI and may be more protective of the underlying trend.

CPI-U 1913-2004; Source: U.S. Department Of Labor

There are two basic types of data needed for CPI, one is price data and second is weighting data. Price data taken for a sample of goods and services of sales outlets in some locations (sample locations) for a period of time. The weighting of the data are estimates of the shares of various types of spending in fractions of the total expenditure, covered by the index.

These weights are usually based on data and the expenses for the periods in the sample from a sample of households. Although some of the sampling is done with the help of a selection base and probabilistic sampling method, is much happened in a commonsense way (targeted sampling) that it is not allowed to estimate the confidence. Therefore, the sampling variance is usually ignored because one estimate is required in most of the purposes for which the index. Shares significantly affect this cause.

Heightening is usually in connection with the waiting of higher short term interest level and may therefore be good for a currency in the short term. However, a longer period, the inflation problem will eventually undermine confidence in the currency and it is a delicacy.

Significance: The CPI is important to monitor for its stability month with the exception of food and energy prices. This activity helps to understand inflation trends better and is especially known as the “core CPI”. The higher inflation rate in the rule strengthens the dollar as far as interest rates are supposed to grow. In the case of inflation is growing rapidly and there is a series of high values of the situation reduces the trust and is harmful to the dollar.

Gross Domestic Product (GDP) usually used in Forex Fundamental Analysis to calculates amount of Goods produced and Services provided on the US region, in US Dollars.

The gross domestic product (GDP) or gross domestic income (GDI) is one of the national accounts for a particular country’s economy. GDP is defined as the total market value of all final goods and services produced within the country in a given period (usually a calendar year). It is also seen as the sum of value added at each stage of production (intermediate stages) of all final goods and services produced within a country in a given period, and it is a monetary value.

U.S. economy is productivity, entirely by this indicator. GDP growth is considered normal if it is higher than 2.0% and not more than 2.5% in terms of the unemployment rate from 5.5% to 6.0%. This can be carried out to the income of companies the stock market is directly dependent. The low GDP growth shows the weakness of the economy, whether the GDP growth high values could lead to inflation growth.

GDP deals with the region in which income is generated. It is the market value of all the output to a nation in one year. GDP focuses on the issue, which is produced, instead they are produced. GDP measures all, the companies without nationality.

In contrast, GNP is a measure of the value of the output signal from the “nationals” of a region. GNP, focuses on the owners of production. For example, in the United States, GDP measures the value of production of American companies, regardless of where the companies are based.

Jobless Claims often used in Forex as one of the Fundamental Analysis out there. Jobless Claims tell us how many numbers of individuals who filled for unemployment insurance for the first time.

Initial Jobless Claims is a report issued by the U.S. Department of Labor on a weekly basis. This report tracks how many people have filed for entitlement to unemployment benefit in the previous week. It is a good gauge of the U.S. labour market. For example, if more people file for unemployment benefits, fewer people have jobs, and vice versa. Investors can use this report to gather relevant information on the economy. The report is published at 13:30 GMT on Thursday and may be a market moving event.

It is very easy to see how this factor demonstrates the strength of the market: fewer people without work, there are more household income is a purchasing power. The expenditure is highly correlated with growth of the economy, so that the stronger the labour market, the economy healthier. On the other hand, if the number of job seekers fall to such a low level that businesses have a hard time finding new workers, investors could have to pay overtime to current staff, use higher wages to attract people from other jobs, and in general more money for wage costs because of a shortage of workers. This would also lead to wage inflation and may be weak economy and currency strength.

By tracking the number of unemployed claims, investors can gain by a sense of how closely the labour market. In recent years, there is general problem of unemployment, the rule: The lower the number of unemployment claims, the stronger the job market, and vice versa.

Trade Balance is one of important Fundamental Analysis that can influence prices. This indicates the difference between imports and exports from goods and services, the tangible one. It is the difference in value between the total exports and total imports of a nation during a specific period of time.

The trade balance is an important indicator of currency trends. Isolated to consider measures for imports and exports are important indicators of overall economic activity in the economy.

Forex Dictionary said:
The largest component of the balance of payments in the country. It is the difference between exports and imports. Debit items are imports, foreign aid, domestic spending abroad and domestic investments abroad. Credit include exports, foreign spending in the domestic economy and foreign investment in the domestic economy. A country has a trade deficit if it imports more than it exported, the opposite scenario is a trade surplus.

Investopedia said:
The trade balance is one of the most misunderstood indicators for the U.S. economy. For example, many people believe that a trade deficit is a bad thing. However, whether a trade deficit is a bad thing or not, in terms of the economy and the economy. In a recession, as countries to export more, creating jobs and demand. In a strong expansion, as countries import more, the provision of price competition, the limits of inflation, and without raising prices, provides goods beyond the economy’s ability to perform. Thus, a trade balance deficit is not a good thing during a recession, but can help during an expansion.

Often, it is of interest to examine the trend growth rates for exports and imports separately. Trends in export activities reflect the competitive position of the country, but also the strength of economic activity abroad. The trend in import activity reflect the strength of the domestic economy.

Typically, a people, which is a substantial trade deficit has a weak currency due to the continued commercial marketing of the currency. However, this can be offset by financial investments over long periods.
