Absolute Breadth Index (ABI) is one Forex Technical Indicator used in Technical Analysis. It counts the difference between advancing and declining issues. After that, it gives direction about which price are moving.

This indicator also can be used to determine the volatility levels in the market, but without factoring in price direction. You can calculate this indicator by take the absolute value of the difference between the number of advancing issues. Large numbers means the volatility is increase, that can cause significant changes in prices in the upcoming weeks.

If this indicator shows high values, it means market activity and possible changes. If this indicator shows there is low value means that no changes take place.

Fosback also found that the high values usually lead to higher prices 3-12 months later. The most common way of the use of the absolute breadth index is the divide of the weekly ABI throughout the issues traded on the market. If after 10 weeks moving average is calculated and readings are less than 15% called it “bearish”. Readings higher than 40% are considered “bullish”.

Accumulation / Distribution of Volume is one of forex technical indicator used in technical analysis by many traders. This indicator is quite handy and used by beginners or experts, because there are not many parameters defining the volume accumulation-distribution.

Firstly, to stable trend, volume of tenders, usually higher than an average level. This approach suggests that the bull trend VA is to go and its values will be positive, and in descending VA bear trend is down and negative values.

Secondly, as a rule, the closing prices are very close to their extreme values. That is the reason why the bull trend, closing is closer to a ceiling price and bear trend in the closing price is closer to a minimum price.

Accumulation Swing Index (ASI) is one Forex Technical Indicator used in Technical Analysis. This indicator is an Oscillator based on the Swing Index. This also a variation of Welles Wilder’s swing index. It plots a running sum of the Swing index value of each beam. The Swing Index is a value from 0 to 100 for one to bar and 0 to -100 for a down bar.

ASI has been created by Wales Wilder as ordinary fluctuations indicator that signals from the previous maximum and minimum price. Once, Wilder said: “Somewhere in the middle of the maze of open, high, low and close prices is a phantom line is the actual market.” What helps us reveal these phantom line is the accumulation index.

Wilder notes the following features of the swing Accumulation Index:
- It provides a numerical value, price swings quantified.
- It defines short-term swing points.
- It cuts through a maze of high, low and close prices and shows the real strength and direction of the market.

An outbreak is when the swing Accumulation Index exceeds the value on the day when a former high significant swing point was made. A disadvantage breakout is appropriate if the value of the swing Accumulation index falls below its value on a day when a previous significant Swing Low point was made.

You can confirm trendline breakouts by comparing the trend lines in the cumulative index to swing trend lines in the price chart. A false breakout, if a trend line drawn on a price chart penetrated, but a similar trend line drawn in the swing Accumulation index is not penetrated.

Advance / Decline (A/D) Line is one of the favourite indicator used in Forex Technial Analysis. This indicator can be used as a gauge of the market breadth. This indicator can plots changes in the value of the advance-decline price over a certain time period.

When we talking about this indicator, many people will ask the formula of it. The A/D Line formula is :

A/D Line = (# of Advancing Price – # of Declining Price) + Previous Period’s A/D Line Value

The Advance/Decline Line (A/D Line) is a very efficient measure of the market’s strength. It is used by many traders to confirm the strength of a current trend and its likelihood of reversing.

If the markets are upwards but the A/D line is move downwards, it’s usually a sign that the markets are losing their breadth and it can be setting up to head in the other direction. If the slope of the A/D line is upwards and the market is trending upward then we can say the market is healthy.

The concept of the Advance/Decline line is to have a broad measure of daily changes in supply and demand. Many people often smooth the data using moving averages of the changes in advancing issues and declining issues in order to get a more accurate picture of changing trends in supply and demand.

Advance / Decline (A/D) Ratio is another indicator used as forex technical analysis, besides the A/D Line. This Indicator is similar to the A/D Line, but it has the use to get the ratio of advancing issues to decreasing issues. The main function of this indicator is to help as an overbought/oversold indicator shows its prominent value.

This Advance / Decline Ratio is very useful for us to determine the momentum of the market. You can see that values over 1 are generated when there are more stocks are advancing (the price increase) than declining. Values less than 1 are generated when there are more stocks decreasing in price. It differs from the Advancing-Declining Issues indicator in that the scale of values remains more consistent.

This indicator is good to be used as overbought/oversold indicator for the market. Very high values may indicate that the market is becoming overbought, it means that a sell-off may occur in the near future that can causes prices to drop. Likewise, very low values can indicate that the market is becoming oversold.

In general, broad market indicators can be used for trading against broad market indices through forex, options, futures, and mutual funds. They can also be used to increase the effectiveness of more specific signals by adding confirmation or warning of upcoming trends.

Along with the Advance-Decline line, the Advance Decline Ratio is considered one of the best indicators of the overall wellbeing of the market.

It is similar to the Advancing-Decline Line in that it displays market breadth, but where the Advancing-Decline Line subtracts the advancing/declining values, the A/D Ratio divides the values. Taking the moving average of the AD ratio will smooth it so it can be used as an overbought and oversold indicator.

The most important prerequisite for the indicators, including the accumulation (distribution) Line, the volume of the price. Volume shows the number of shares traded in a particular stock. Therefore, it is a direct correlation in the capitals move within and outside the camp. It is time the increased volume before moving in many cases a camp progress.

This indicator is the oldest one in the sphere of technical analysis. The Advance/Decline Line – Breadth – indicates the number of advancing issues divided by the sum number of declining and advancing issues.
The market is supposed to be strong or “having good breadth” when advancing issues overcome declining issues. If the line breaks out to the upside one can predict the market increase during upcoming months. And new index peaks have tended to result in the market highs.

Alligator is one of useful Forex Technical Indicator used in Technical Analysis. This indicator have 3 lines, they are a combination of Balance Lines (Moving Averages) that use fractal geometry and nonlinear dynamics.

“Most of the time the market remains stationary. Only for some 15-30% of the time the market generates trends and dealers, are not in the exchange itself, most of their profits from the trends. My grandfather used to repeat:” Even a blind chicken finds its corns, when it is fed at the same time. “We call upon the trading on the trend” a blind chicken market. “It has given us years, but we have an indicator that lets us always keep our powder dry until we reach the blind chicken market”.

The first line, or the chap from Alligator, a line of balancing the substantial period of time. It is for the construction chart – 13 period moving average smoothed, moved to 8 bars in the future. The green line, or the lips of the alligator, is the line of the compensation for the considerable period of time is another step less – 5 smoothed moving average period, moved to 3 bars in the future. The red line or the teeth of alligator, is the line of the compensation for the considerable period of time, is a step less – 8 smoothed moving average period, moved to 5 bars in the future.

How to interpret the lines? If all of them are jolloped, this means that the “Alligator” is asleep, and the more she sleeps, the more they are hungry. Of course, if he wakes up after a long sleep, it is very hungry and starts “hunting for food”, is the price until it is oversaturated. When it happens, he loses interest in food, is the price and then the balance lines meet at the same point. It is when you should fix your profit. It is time to close all positions and wait until the alligator wakes up next time.

This indicator’s aims are the following:
1. To register for a simple indicator use for trade only in the current trade.
2. Developing a reliable way of saving money during the movement of the market is limited by the price channel.
3. To represent the United Way for monitoring the movement of the market.
